Originally this page was going to be cut from the script because I thought this scene was running too long by comic standards.  I come from a tv/film background so the script when I wrote it looked fine, but as I started laying out the pages I realized that it was going to be more than I had originally hoped.  In the end I just had to put faith in the reader that he or she would be interested enough to keep reading.  But I’m glad it’s in here because I really wanted you to get a better sense of Jillian’s character and you wouldn’t have been able to without this page.  Jillian was my favorite character coming into this project to write for and it would have been an injustice to not give her all of the lines I came up with for her.

This quick sequence also almost didn’t even happen!  We had finished shooting the exam scene and had moved on to another scene and were halfway finished through that when Frank about to leave.  He was literally halfway out the door when I had realized that we hadn’t shot the closing for the exam scene yet!  So he got back in costume and we shot these real fast and he was back on his merry way.
