I really like this page because it’s the first time you — as the readers — finally get to see more of the type of relationship Art and Jillian have and how they play off of each other as a team.  The scene in the plaza you kind of got to see a little bit of that but it was mulled a bit by Art feeling down about the prospect of his potential to wolf-out and cause total and utter chaos…

While we’re on the subject of Art let me say he’s an interesting subject for character development.  When “Truth” was in its infancy stages it was more of a slapsticky comedy where all of these cool characters formed a team of paranormal investigators.  You had the psychic (who’s now Jillian), the vampire hunter (who’s now Dakota), a telekinetic (…), a crypto zoologist (….coughcough..), a mute spontaneous combustion victim who is permanently wrapped in bandages like a mummy (..COUGH..cough..), a witch (….ahem..cough…), and then you had Art.  It was set up so that Art was seemingly left as an outsider to the group because there wasn’t anything special about him — until the episode where he was unable to leave the team in time to avoid being around them during a full moon!  So that’s Art’s origin for you!  As far as some of those other characters I mentioned….  Let me just say that you should stick around a little while longer for some of them.  And the others?  By the end of this story arc all but one of the characters will have had made their appearance — though one is only mentioned briefly.  Just hope The Pure and Hidden Truth sticks around past the “Friends in High Places.”  You’ll definitely be wanting more. 

Back to the comic, we see that the Narrator walked through the physical space right in front of Art and Jillian.  For the longest time I didn’t know how well this would translate into a comic.  I could have played it out longer but I wanted it to appear suddenly, kind of like a “whoa wtf!” kind of moment.  Cause you just don’t see that every day, haha!
