And here is Dakota’s first appearance in Act 2! She’s back and better than ever!

Below is another promotional pic of Dakota for all you immortal vigilante vampire hunter fans out there. So please click for a better look if you’d like.

This scene was pretty fun to shoot. Obviously it was a night shoot, which sucked because in the script it was supposed to be a daytime shoot. (This is why I wrote Martha’s character being “asleep” for some period time and having no recollection of it.)

Writing for Dakota was hard in this scene because although she does occasionally have a partner (who isn’t in the Friends in High Places story but will be mentioned in the near future), for the most part she works solo. It’s hard to write dialogue for a solitary character!!! And I refuse to write thought bubbles — I hate them. So…Dakota talks to herself, haha! Lets just say I cut a few lines because there was WAY more dialogue…which looked so ridiculous. This is a lot better.

Oh yeah! The guy on the phone is played by Diana’s boyfriend Sudhir Desai. I had another character I meant for him to play but we needed someone to play the “guy on the phone” and since he was there at the time he got the part! Diana was actually off camera holding up a reflector board. You may not be able to tell but it helped out a lot with this shoot. I was trying to go for a warm look but I don’t think this is my best photography in this scene I think. You all can be the judge of that though.
