No “Behind The Truth” for July :(

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

My plan was to get these up on the first Tuesday of the month but I won’t be able to do that this month. It might be delayed for at least a week or two, or I might just can it all together and focus on the August edition. I already have some plans for changes in the works but I haven’t been able to enact them due to the powers that be (read: bad luck, haha!)

Just wanted to let you guys know that the holiday kind of put monkey wrench in plans to put together the July edition of “Behind the Truth.” So for the five of you that actually watch the videos I post down here in the blog I want to apologize for the delay.

The good news is that I have been working on some video/film projects that you guys are going to really enjoy. Just know that even though this show suffered a delay due to overall business and trying to get everyone’s schedule to jive that I’m still working hard on getting you guys some quality material.

Happy Forth of July to my American readers. To everyone else, have a great weekend! :)

HIDDEN TRUTH RADIO TEASER #1!!!!!

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

This is the first of a series of teaser trailers for the upcoming “Hidden Truth Radio” live action webseries that’s based in the world of the The Pure and Hidden Truth webcomic.

Hidden Truth Radio (www.hiddentruthradio.com) is a web series I want to shoot this fall with a planned debut of this winter or early spring. The first arc of the series tells the story of Cisco and Cici hosting their radio show while background events depicted in the show set in motion the formation of a superhero team that exists in my comic universe. By the end of the first season the stage will be set for my superhero spin-off idea. I’ve looked over the scripts for the first “season” of HTR and it’s looking like it will be about an hour total running time split between 8 episodes and 2 mini episodes (a prologue and epilogue).

Jenny Everywhere is an open source comic book character that anyone can use (http://www.theshifterarchive.com). To my knowledge this is the first time she has ever appeared in a film medium. Noel Krull will play the character of Jenny and is doing a fantastic job. Arne Schulenberg, the creator of the Union of Heroes webcomic, had inspired me to take the route of keeping Jenny’s spirit alive by breathing new life into the character and take her into a new medium.

Let me know what you think!!!

The character of Jenny Everywhere is available for use by anyone, with only one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Jenny Everywhere, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed.

GOOD NEWS! + BAD NEWS…

Monday, July 27th, 2009

First the bad news…

First, let me start off with the bad news. Now you know I started the “Behind the Truth” monthly show back in June. July’s episode was canceled do to scheduling conflicts for behind the scenes segments because of everyone’s summer plans. Well, now I’ve got to say that Behind the Truth is canceled as of now due to the fact that Hannah, the show’s hostess, has moved back to the west coast. While I’m sad to see her go in the back of my mind I was juggling with saving some of the behind the scenes stuff for a DVD I want to put together and package with the printed comics so… Maybe it’s not a horrible thing that BTH isn’t going to be around every month. But just wanted to let you all know that there will be no more Hannah for those of you who were ready for your next fix!

…and now the Good News!

Secondly, I would like to point out that my buddy ole’ pal Lynn French - creator of the well-known photocomic Dark Red - made a surprise reference to The Pure and Hidden Truth in her comic’s latest update! I wont spoil anything but you can check it out here on her site. I wonder how fast you can point it out!

Lynn and I had talked about making crossover type comics and references in the past and she totally surprised me with this one. So now I’m going to have to return the favor somehow!
