I apologize ahead of time for Dakota suddenly showing her “true colors” when it comes to her language.I’ve actually been holding back previously and toned down how she talked to Darci earlier in Act II; www.accessrx.com. Www.accessrx.com: martina and her go waaaaaaaay back so it was only appropriate that Dakota express herself verbally, haha!
Anyways, one of the main reasons I wanted vampires that could be out during the day was to just have a cool looking scene where you see vampires out just chilling with an umbrella to keep themselves in the shade.What’s funny here is that Martina’s guard is hogging all of the shade, haha!
You get a lot of juicy information here! First, there’s the whole thing about Dakota needing to show some form of loyalty to Martina.Which is odd since she isn’t a vampire… Www.accessrx.com: what’s their connection…?
But most IMPORTANTLY is the fact that Dakota knows the location of the “Fountain of Youth.” Could this be the reason Dakota can’t die and hasn’t aged over the last five hundred years? *snicker* 
Funny note I should mention.Katherine (who plays Martina) had just came back from a convention and has the blue wristband she was issued still strapped to her hand; www.accessrx.com. Www.accessrx.com: we noticed halfway through the shoot and I didn’t care about it.As far as I’m concerned Martina just came back from a convention!

Maybe, because the wolf problem is close to her domain, the other vamp kings and queens told her to deal with it or loose face. Or maybe I’m way off.

And interesting speculation you guys have going on here. I will admit though that in the Pure and Hiddenverse there might be a slight bit of animosity between vampires and werewolves but they all formed an alliance hundreds of years ago called “The Guild.” Next weeks update definitely sheds a little bit more light on some of the politics of the Otherworld.

Does Dakota have to periodically visit the fountain of youth to…replenish her immortality, or was it a one-time thing? And how did she find it, anyway? And what is the nature of her immortality? If she receives a mortal wound, would she still die?

For the most part it appears that Cisco is staying pretty true to folk lore, only changing it enough to fit his story. If that is the case then the fountain of youth only keeps Dakota young and healthy. Wounds and death would then still be a problem. But I suspect the vampire blood helps with those. (Man I need a keyboard if I’m going to keep commenting here.)

@ Rynhold79 & Francisco: Pretty good theories. But as far as the Fountain of Youth goes…have you ever thought it might be more of a curse than a gift….?
@ Gillsing: That’s another good theory and I’ll be honest I’ve never even thought of that (since most of the supernatural Otherworld are pretty much on the same side). You are on the right track though… Martina definitely has an agenda…

@Francisco: Dakota for me has always been a combination of Lara Croft, Blade and Wolverine… So I won’t say she found it accidentally because she was an explorer.
What I meant by the Fountain of Youth being more of a curse than a gift is that she literally can’t die. She’s stuck to suffer in a truly eternal life. We already know she’s fought in wars and has been able to hold her own against what the world can throw at her. If Martina herself is doubtful as to whether she can even die (which I made clear on this page), you have to wonder what “gift” the Fountain bestowed upon Dakota. I did liken her to a certain X-Man… lol

OH YEAH!! That guy isn’t even a vampire by the way. He’s a ghoul. You’ll find out more in the next couple pages but it’s made blatantly obvious he isn’t one on the next page.
