@ Rynhold79: Yeah, Dakota’s curse is the main reason she’s got a huge chip on her shoulder. You’ve barely gotten a glimpse of her character yet.

A “Ghoul” in the Pure and Hiddenverse is basically a vampire blood addict but the correct classification is when they are a servant of a vampire. They are lured into becoming addicted to vampire blood and have the sincerest desire to become a vampire themselves, which makes them obediently loyal to their potential sire. …Funny how Dakota recognized the smell of Martina’s blood huh…?
Like Dakota, a Ghoul can exhibit the strengths of a vampire thanks to their blood ingestion, but over time the constant stress on their body deteriorates them and they die. Dakota is an exception since her body can’t die. She only gets stronger over time.
